I’m Yair Mor. A professional animator and 3D artist. I graduated Animation Mentor on 2008 and I currently work at GeoSim Systems as a 3D animator and modeler for their virtual urban environments. I recently began freelancing and I am looking for some cool projects to be part of!
I found the world of Computer Graphics when I was about 12 years old. I started exploring several packages like Maya, 3dsmax and Photoshop while I was in high school. After high school I served at the IDF. A few months after my release from the army I started working for a small studio as a graphic designer. I used 3dsmax, Photoshop and Flash to create presentations and illustrations.
A few months later I left this studio and began working at GeoSim as a 3D modeler, which is my current workpalce. Using 3dsmax I model and texture real world accurate buildings, terrains and other urban landscape elements. As an AM student, I continued working for GeoSim and started animating characters for the Virtaul Philadelphia application.
Although always a positive person, I love exploring the dark and obscure aspects of culture and art. I am inspired by works of H. R. Giger, M.C Escher, Umberto Eco, Tolkien, Neil Gaiman and Tim Burton. Besides animating, I like photography and I love discovering some interesting healthy food to cook. I also Illustrate and play classical music on the guitar.
